High Z-Axis Plate

The High Z Plate provides a convenient right angle interface for our carriage and extended carriages, and changes the moving portion of the Z to the steel rail and extrusion. The use of our extended carriages, coupled with the stiffness of the extrusion and steel plate as the cantilevered portion of the axis makes for a stiffer Z capable of greater cutting depths up to 12” for wood, and more for light materials like foam and balsa.

Capable of interfacing with 4”, 6” and 7” steel plate on the gantry (for 3030, 1545 or 3060 extrusions respectively), this versatile plate features mounting holes for both extended carriages and our ACME nuts. The picture to the right shows the system setup for a 7” wide piece of steel for the gantry, and the standard 4” wide steel for the Z.
