Introducing our newest drive system, perfect for larger format machines, 4’ x 8’, 5’ x 10’ and larger! Our innovative rack and pinion drive system is designed to mount directly to one of our Extended Linear Carriages riding on one of our linear rails. You can use our drilled and counterbored 54in. rack or mount a 20 Degree Pressure Angle, 20 pitch rack to the extrusion underneath the rail using our innovative rack clamps — combine lengths of rack to get the travel you want. Racks and rack clamps are sold separately.

The system provides a 3:1 belt reduction, putting NEMA 23 stepper motors in an optimal range for speed and power. Watch the videos of the system in action below!

This product includes the following components:

• Motor mount pivot plate
• 10-32 cap screws and hex nuts for motor mounting
• Pivot shoulder bolt, with precision shim
• Drive spindle assembly with pinion gear, integral bushing and timing belt pulley
• Timing belt pulley with 1/4 inch bore for NEMA 23 motors (optional 3/8 inch bore pulley available 2/14/2010)
• Timing belt
• Tension spring
• Turnbuckle for easy tension adjustment
